Now Serving Number One Million and One

Our Mobility Management Platform (MMP) completed its first activity, a “suspend service” order, on October 23, 2009. That’s 2,686 days ago! Since then, we’ve taken care of more than one million customer activities.
If you’re managing mobility without an effective software solution, your program probably can’t drive innovation and organizational progress like it should. A complicated spreadsheet or small team of around-the-clock employees simply can’t provide the benefits automated software brings:
MMPs ensure data accuracy and process integrity by validating input data and performing routine tasks consistently. Additionally, notifications and approvals can be customized based on user, location, or workflow for even more extensive error prevention when data isn’t formatted correctly or doesn’t match from one field to the next.
While notifications help minimize mistakes, their main purpose is providing instant feedback any time a process changes or updates. The progress of a manual task can be much more challenging to communicate across fragmented systems and often results in confusion and delay.

Automating repetitive, inefficient tasks through software reduces staff workload, giving employees a chance to focus on more important jobs instead. Effectively managed mobility helps motivate employees to solve mission-critical business issues and IT to enhance their enterprise mobility program’s innovation.
As manual system errors are drastically reduced or eliminated by an MMP, additional efficiencies are realized and resources can be more effectively allocated. This combination not only drives down current program spend, but also has the potential to reduce future expenses.
Mobility management software provides new levels of visibility and status reporting, allowing program administrators to clearly understand and use trends and data patterns in meaningful ways.[tweet this]
Mobility management software provides new levels of visibility and status reporting, allowing program administrators to clearly understand and use trends and data patterns in meaningful ways. With this functionality, employees are more easily held accountable and necessary parties (end users, approvers, and/or managers) can be immediately notified.
Automated software enables rapid enterprise mobility growth and replicability across global programs. Without needing to purchase additional infrastructure or hire additional IT staff, businesses are capable of leveraging technology to scale or repeat successful programs globally.
MMPs offer a variety of automated communication channels and program-wide visibility. Companies shouldn’t have to rely on hard-to-find post-it notes, illegible whiteboard scribbles, buried emails, or lack of human memory to manage mobility and make informed IT decisions.
Industry-leading software brings new advantages, but it optimizes existing enterprise technology too. MMPs make it possible for disjointed data sets to freely interact with one another by centralizing all IT systems into a single platform. Resolving issues and accomplishing program goals has never been easier!

Once integration is complete, analytics empower IT and transform the department into a driving force for enterprise evolution. Accurate, up-to-date reporting and insights are immediately available, allowing programs to improve the reach and impact of all decision-making efforts.
As for Us…
Every day, the MOBI Platform automates hundreds of end-user requests and device changes (more than 400 in fact). Here’s what MOBI handles most often:
1) Carrier service disconnections
2) Device upgrades/replacements
3) Carrier plan/feature changes
4) New carrier lines of service
5) Carrier line assignments
For all of the pomp and circumstance deserving of MOBI’s millionth activity, it was fairly routine. A healthcare employee needed a used iPad reassigned to herself. Not even five minutes later, the device’s ownership was transferred and carrier service was confirmed. Easier management through which our software automates a repeatable, role-based task freed her up to almost immediately get back to work on her “new” tablet.
