Seventy Seven Energy Gains Complete Visibility into Mobility Program

ABOUT THE CUSTOMER

Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Seventy Seven Energy provides a wide range of wellsite services and equipment to United States land-based exploration and production customers. Seventy Seven Energy’s services include drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and oilfield rentals, and its operations are geographically diversified across many of the most active oil and natural gas plays in the country.

Seventy Seven Energy turned to MOBI for a solution that would allow administrators to manage lines of service in a standalone program, provide complete visibility of the entire mobility environment, and drive down overall mobility program expenditure with strategic monthly analysis and bill optimization.

THE CUSTOMER CHALLENGE

Prior to partnering with MOBI, Seventy Seven Energy’s mobility program visibility was limited to only a handful of administrators and lacked enterprise-wide reach.

Relying on a legacy Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solution resulted in a lack of device usage and expense data visibility for managers and employees—unless a manual report was requested and tediously processed and delivered by program administrators.

THE MOBI SOLUTION

Once Seventy Seven Energy implemented MOBI’s software solution, program administrators were delighted with the amount of visibility and control they now had without having to be “in the weeds” every day. Whether dropshipping a new device to an individual or deactivating a line of service, administrators no longer spend all their time managing the mobility program. Instead, MOBI’s software provides administrators with scheduled, automated reports and actionable data to make informed decisions.

Seventy Seven Energy enjoys the outsourced model for processes that aren’t core to their business. The visibility offered by MOBI’s software allows program administrators to do just that.

Prior to MOBI, when an employee would leave the organization, Seventy Seven Energy would simply pay the $300 early termination fee and chalk it up to the cost of doing business. MOBI’s team suggested that instead, Seventy Seven Energy should hold the line and then reassign as needed. This change alone has saved the organization thousands of dollars.

“I love that MOBI’s not just another system we have to support—it’s a tool that works and allows us to focus on our core business that generates revenue. A lot of organizations will try to outsource the wrong things. This isn’t one of them.”

“We don’t require a full-time employee to manage our mobility program because of MOBI. We have the ability to attack more technology and strategic priorities instead of troubleshooting questions from end users.”
